April Ross
April Ross, a beach volleyball star in the US She is one of a small group of women who have been awarded medals at multiple Olympics. She is set to compete in Tokyo for her third Olympic medal alongside Alix Klineman who is a first-time Olympian. Ross will also be hoping for her first Olympic medal. And at the age of 39, it could be her last chance to do so. She is still confident nevertheless. Ross through NBC Boston, said that when the team performs well or at all they can earn a gold. That's why I'm taking some luck too. Ross born in 1982 and was raised within Costa Mesa California with her sister and parents, began playing sports at the Newport Harbor High School. Along with playing in numerous sports, Ross was also a student at Newport Harbor High School. As a prep-athlete she was also a participant in indoor volleyball and track. She stood out however at this level. Based on her biography, she was an outside blocker as well as a middle volleyball player during her high-school career. She was named by the Gatorade National Circle of Champions Player of the Year in 1999 due to her accomplishments. In 2000, she was named Orange County Athlete of the year for volleyball. While Ross Klineman and Ross are a couple since the year 2017, Klineman was already a big-time athlete on the beach even before the pair formed. She has won numerous events, one of which was with the legendary player of volleyball. From 2007 until 2013, she was a team together with Jennifer Kessy who more recently served as her and Klineman's coach. Alongside Kessy Ross was an ace on the international stage, claiming an international title in 2009. They won a Silver Medal in the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. They were defeated for the gold medal by the legendary group of Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh (Jennings). It was fate that had them. Ross was Walsh Jennings' new partner as May-Treanor stepped down. They went on to compete for the bronze beach volleyball medal at Rio Olympics 2016 with Walsh Jennings. Ross began her collegiate time with the Trojans at USC in her high school days. It was a long time before Ross went to the beach, and then became a professional. Her experience at USC was quite impressive. In 2000, she was named Pac-10 Freshman as well as NCAA Freshman of the Year, and was also an All-American. Additionally, she was one of the key players to help the Trojans to make it to the Final Four. Her heart was broken by a tragic incident in her sophomore year. However, she went on to be an All-American in her second year. During her final two seasons in the Trojans' program they won victories by winning consecutive national championships. The individual accomplishments of her have established her status as a legend in volleyball. Ross was awarded the Honda Sports Award 2003-04 for the best female college player. Ross played international relations as a major at USC. Margie Ross did not get to see her daughter's climb to the beach volleyball spotlight. Ross's mother died of breast carcinoma in the year 2001. Ross had just become sophomore at USC. Ross holds her mother dear. Margie is an inspiration on and off of the shore.
